What We Believe

Scripture

We believe in the divine inspiration of the Scriptures as originally given and that they are perfectly and uniquely authoritative in all matters pertaining to life with which they deal.

1 Corinthians 2:13

God

We believe in the Eternal God who has revealed Himself as ONE God existing
in THREE persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit; distinguishable, but inseparable.
Matthew 28:19;
2 Corinthians 13:14

Jesus Christ

We believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God, the Savior of mankind, who was conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, both fully God and fully man.
Luke 1:26-35; John 1:18; Isaiah 7:14; 9:16

Christ's Death
and Resurrection

We believe Christ died for our sins,
was buried and rose again on the third day and personally appeared to His disciples for forty days before ascending back to heaven to sit at the right hand of God.
1 Corinthians 15:14; Romans 4:25

Salvation

We believe in the salvation of sinners by God's grace, through repentance, confession, and faith in the perfect and sufficient work of Jesus upon the cross of Calvary, by which we obtain remission or forgiveness of sins.

Baptism

We believe in the necessity of water baptism by immersion in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit in order to fulfill the command of Christ, uniting us in a saving relationship with Christ, and sharing in His death, burial, and resurrection.
Matthew 28:19;
Acts 2:37-39; 19:1-6;
Romans 6:5; Colossians 2:12

The Church

We believe that the local gathering of believers, known as the church, is Christ’s body meant to impact the world with the message of Jesus. Its primary function is to share life together, which includes encouraging one another, serving our community, and worshipping regularly.
Acts 2:42-47

Christian Living

We believe in a Spirit-filled and Spirit-led life that empowers us to live counter-culturally while interacting within our culture. We strive to live holy lives as an expression of our faith in Christ.
Ephesians 5:18-21;
1 Corinthians 6:14; 7:1

Communion

We believe in the weekly observance of Communion, commonly called the Lord’s Supper, as an expression of worship on the first day of the week (Sunday). All immersed believers may partake of the communion.
Acts 20:7;
