The Light of the World Is Coming: The Promise of Light

The Light of the World Is Coming | The Promise of Light | December 3, 2023 Sermon

In this sermon, we will explore the prophetic message of Isaiah 9:1-7, which announces the coming of a great light in the midst of darkness.
We will examine how this passage points to the birth of Jesus Christ, the Son of God, who is the fulfillment of God's promise to bring salvation, joy, and peace to His people. God contrasts the darkness of the people’s situation with the brightness of the light that will dawn on them, and how this light represents God’s presence, favor, and grace. This passage will challenge us to live in the light of Christ and share His light with the world. By recognizing Jesus as the Light of the World, receiving Him as our Savior and Lord, rejoicing in His salvation and peace, and reflecting His light to others we can apply today's message to our lives.
